Payment verification (3D Secure) is an extra security step used when paying online. It helps protect your card from fraud by requiring you to confirm your payment with your bank using a one-time password (OTP) or secure approval.

You may be asked to complete this step when paying with a credit or debit card online.

How do I set up 3D Secure?

If your card is not yet activated for 3D Secure, you can register it through your bank’s online banking or security settings.

Each bank has its own process for activating 3D Secure. You may need to:

  • Log in to your online banking profile
  • Go to your card or security settings
  • Activate “Verified by Visa” or “Mastercard SecureCode”
  • Confirm the activation using a one-time password (OTP)

My bank is not listed

If your bank is not listed, please contact your bank directly to confirm whether 3D Secure or Payer Authentication is available on your card.

Some card issuers, such as American Express and Diners Club, may not currently support 3D Secure. In these cases, you may not be prompted to complete a verification step during checkout.

How do I know if my card is activated?

If your card is not activated, you may see a prompt during checkout such as:

  • Visa: “Activate Verified by Visa”
  • Mastercard: “Protect / Activate your Mastercard Online”

If your card is already activated, you will be asked to approve the payment using a one-time password (OTP) or secure banking confirmation step.

Why am I being asked to verify my payment?

You may be asked to complete verification to:

  • Protect your card from fraud
  • Confirm that you are the authorised cardholder
  • Complete a secure online transaction

Once verification is completed successfully, your payment will be processed and your order confirmation will be sent to you via email.
